The new Regulation of the Network of “Storytelling Libraries” by the Latvian National Commission for UNESCO is regulative document for the “Storytelling Libraries” network that includes principles of identification of local storytellers, documentation and dissemination of results. It serves as a good example how institution can get involved in preserving local oral history.
Elaborated description of the first Zemgales Storytelling festival includes 10 main aspects that organizers faced during the implementation of the event. Festival is one of the good practice and approach how to work with identification, highlighting, documenting, preserving, and raising awareness of the oral history.
